We are gearing up for Summer 2019 and planning even more awesome and fun-filled camps! Registration opens January 1. Stay tuned for details.
Summer Camps at the Summit Area YMCA provide children ages 3 years to 16 years* with safe and exciting opportunities to explore, learn, create and discover the world around them. Under the guidance of caring, enthusiastic, trained staff members, children will create lasting friendships and lifelong memories, and find positive role models to look up to. Our goal is to ensure your child has the best possible summer camp experience ever!
With over 50 camp choices, the Summit Area YMCA offers a variety of camp choices designed to meet your child’s interests and passions every week of summer! Featuring your traditional favorites and a wide assortment of new specialty camps, we surely have something for everyone. From Ninja Warriors and SCUBA, to Fashion Design and Farm Camp, from Pokemon and Nasa, to Cupcakes and Computer Programming. Our programs inspire campers to embrace the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and challenge them to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually by gaining an appreciation for other perspectives, encouraging campers to become better friends, students and leaders and, of course, to have fun!
*In addition, we also offer Special Needs Camp. The Special Needs Programs at the Summit Area YMCA are thoughtfully designed for children/teens with communication, social, behavioral and learning differences to thrive in a safe, friendly and supportive environment.
The Summit Area YMCA's summer camps are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), an independent body that establishes standards for key aspects of camp operation, program quality, health and safety of campers. As always, summer camp scholarships and financial assistance are available to those in need. We're gearing up for another great summer, and we look forward to you being a part of it too!
A Summit Area YMCA Membership is required to register for camp online. Summer camp registration (for non TLC YMCA summer camps) is online only. You may reserve a space for your child by paying the full camp fee or with a non-refundable $50 deposit for each week of camp. Payments due on May 15, June 15, and July 15 will automatically be charged to the credit/debit card on file unless alternative arrangements are made with the Business Office. To ensure a safe and quality camp experience for all campers, online registration will end Thursday at midnight prior to the start of the upcoming camp week. No registrations will be accepted the weekend before the camp week begins. View additional details on registration and payment information.
As a nonprofit, we are committed to enhancing the lives of individuals and families in our community. With the generous donations of members, donors, and partners in the community from funds raised during our Annual Campaign and special events, the Summit Area YMCA is able to offer financial assistance to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Families with low or moderate household income or those who are experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to apply.
