Our Before Care program provides families with a convenient, reliable option for early morning childcare. Care takes place from 7:00 AM until the school day starts.
We provide morning snacks, as well as engaging activities to start your child’s day on the right note.
Kids are safely supervised and enjoy a calm, supportive environment before being released to their classrooms at the school bell, or with transportation to their school. Spots are limited, early enrollment is encouraged!

The Berkeley Heights YMCA After Care program provides a safe, engaging space for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade to unwind, learn, and play after the school day ends. Students are transported from their local schools to the Y on both full and half days, where they participate in a variety of activities including structured recreation, outdoor play, quiet homework time, and snack. Our caring staff create a supportive environment that promotes social growth and academic support. For families seeking care on full school days without transportation, our Beyond the Bell program offers an on-site option at select schools. With flexible options, our program makes high-quality after school care accessible and enriching for all.

Please note: An active Summit Area YMCA membership is required to register for any childcare or summer camp programs. If you do not have a family membership, a youth membership (for ages 12 and under) may be purchased for each child billed annually at $110 per year/per child. If you had a membership previously and are having trouble reactivating it, please complete the membership change request form.
