Summit YMCA Grand Reopening Recap

This past Saturday, we enjoyed welcoming many new and returning members to our brand-new Summit YMCA!

We started the day with speeches from Mayor Nora Radest, Board of Trustees Chair Maria Brugg, Capital Campaign Chair and Board of Trustee Robert Radest, and President and CEO Paul Kieltyka.

After they cut the ribbon signifying the completion of the many months of work, members were treated to an open house styled afternoon.

 

Lots of individuals took advantage of the opportunity to tour the facility and grab unique glances at the new Y. The crafts and popcorn machine were huge hits, but not surpassing the face-painting station, where kids and the young-spirited dazzled with their new designs.

We spent the day exactly how we wanted to: seeing our community happy and smiling at their new YMCA building. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Please note that the section of Maple Street closest to the Summit YMCA will be closed from approximately 7 AM to 11 AM on Sunday, May 5, for our Mother’s Day 5K. Please use Cedar Street to access the public lot that is next to our building.
