Lifeguards Wanted at the Springfield Community Pool

Now hiring lifeguards for the Springfield Community Pool. Spend your summer in the sun, become a leader and make a difference in your community! Open to responsible candidates ages 15+. Applications are due by May 15, 2021.

This position requires current Lifeguard, CPR-PR & First-Aid certifications. Don’t have your certifications yet? We are willing to train the right candidate. Those who complete the application and interview process will be invited to one of two available American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Training Courses on:

May 22-23, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
May 24-25, 4:00 PM-10:00 PM

Complete certification cost is $250 and financial aid is available to those in need.

Participants who successfully complete the course and receive their certification in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and AED for the Professional Rescuer (that is valid for 2 years) may then be offered a lifeguard position this summer at the Springfield Community Pool. Whether you decided to work for the Y or somewhere else, lifeguard jobs are in high demand all year round. Become a leader and a lifeguard — invest in yourself and your future today.

The Summit Area YMCA has partnered with the Township of Springfield to operate the Springfield Community Pool’s 2021 summer season. Opening from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the recently renovated facilities located at 44 Morrison Road, Springfield, NJ 07081 span over 15 acres provides its members with a spacious main pool, kiddie pool, water slide, diving board, lounge chairs, playground, picnic area, basketball and volleyball courts, large multi-purpose room (available for rentals), locker rooms, showers and more, to enjoy leisure, free swim, lap swim, aquatic exercise, summer day camp, swim lessons, swim team and social events.
