Celebrating Freedom, Community, and Wellness Together
As we celebrate Independence Day, we’re reminded not only of the birth of our nation but of the values that unite us: freedom, community, and the spirit of service. At the Summit Area YMCA, those same values guide everything we do. From promoting youth development and healthy living to fostering social responsibility, our mission reflects the very ideals that inspired the founding of this country.
The Y’s Role in Community and Country
Since 1844, the YMCA has been more than a gym. We’ve been a movement for good. The Y supported troops during wartime, promoted civil rights, and expanded access to education and wellness. On the Fourth of July, we reflect on our legacy as a community hub that welcomes all, celebrates freedom, and strengthens the people and neighborhoods we serve.
As you spend time with loved ones, we invite you to make the Y part of your celebration. Whether it’s through a morning workout, a refreshing swim, or simply by connecting with your neighbors, we’re here for you. Below are our modified holiday hours and activities to help you plan your day.
