
Get race day ready with the Y! Our 10-Week Couch to 5K program is designed for beginners and anyone ready to build endurance the smart way. Through simple walk, jog, run, and rest intervals, you’ll gradually increase stamina, confidence, and strength, one week at a time.
No pressure. No experience required. Just a supportive path from your first step to the starting line at our Love & Legacy 5K on May 3.
This self-guided training program begins February 23. Complete each day’s scheduled workout and progress week by week through race day on May 3.
Stay motivated by joining the Couch to 5K Challenge in the SAY Mobile App. Log your workouts, track your progress, and see how others in our community are moving toward the same goal. A live leaderboard adds extra accountability as we build toward race day together!

The Summit Area YMCA’s Love & Legacy 5K is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, rain or shine. The 5K winds through Summit and welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. Together, we walk and run in honor of those impacted by cancer, remember loved ones, and celebrate the legacies that inspire us to keep moving forward. Proceeds from the 5K directly support LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, a free program that helps cancer survivors regain strength, confidence, and connection.
Thanks to your overwhelming response, our Lunar New Year Celebration on February 7 has reached full capacity. Please note, walk-ins will not be permitted and parking may be limited near the Summit YMCA from 1:00-4:00 PM.
