2024 Summit Area YMCA LOL Charity Auction

The Summit Area YMCA’s Laugh Out Loud (LOL) Charity Auction takes place at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024—and you’re invited!

Join us at the Canoe Brook Country Club for a memorable evening of laughter, food and drinks with the opportunity to bid on and win a variety of fabulous auction items. Most important, it will be a night of raising funds to strengthen our local community. All donations go to the Summit Area YMCA’s financial assistance program, which supports 1,600 local families with scholarships and free programs.

The hilarious auctioneer and emcee Pat Tully is returning to the stage from our last three LOL events. Mr. Tully is no wallflower when it comes to igniting a spark in a room and holding the audience’s attention. He is as comfortable on stage with A-list celebrities as he is sincere with cancer patients who share their very personal stories. He works the crowd with ease and grace and he didn’t hesitate when he had the chance to convince Rod Stewart to break into a duet. He has performed live auctions with celebrities including Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Jamie Foxx, Adrian Grenier, Kenan Thompson, and many others.

Special guest Caroline Rhea will be taking the stage after Pat to fill the night with even more laughs. Caroline Rhea is best known for her role as Hilda Spellman on the ABC hit series Sabrina The Teenage Witch, and numerous comedy specials on Comedy Central, HBO, and Showtime. Caroline currently stars as the voice of Linda Flynn-Fletcher on the hit Disney Channel show Phineas and Ferb.

To celebrate the evening’s success, DJ Valentino will open the dance floor for an unforgettable afterparty directly following our special guests!

LOL would not be possible without the tireless support of our dedicated volunteers. Please join us in celebrating our LOL Committee: Anne Pierce (co-chair), Stacie Powers (co-chair), Tina Baione, Maria Brugg, Kaitlin Casey, Jennifer Counihan, Elizabeth Cox, Andre Crompton, Alicia D’Angelo, Alex Delaney, Renée Frank, Jamie Greenwald, Lisa Grennon, Layne Logigan, Elizabeth Loonam, Abby Manning, Robert Radest, Kristen Segal, Tracey Sieg, Laurie Steffa, Brianne Tammaro, Katie Wenger, and Allison Zeimann.

SUMMIT AREA YMCA

BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA | SUMMIT YMCA | THE LEARNING CIRCLE YMCA

In 1886, we were founded as the Young Men’s Christian Association, but today, we are The Y; an association that values, and is made stronger by, its diverse people. We stand for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility — For a better us. We are committed to creating equal opportunity for all regardless of gender, age, disability, income, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religious affiliation. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive culture in which our four core values — responsibility, honesty, caring and respect — are integral to everyday operations.

Each year, as one of the area’s leading 501(c)3 charitable organizations, the Summit Area YMCA serves more than 15,000 individuals with our free and fee-based programs and services in an area spanning the New Jersey communities of Berkeley Heights, Gillette, Millburn, New Providence, Short Hills, Springfield, Stirling and Summit. Our history is rooted in working side-by-side with our neighbors to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Through the generosity of our members, donors, and partners, we are able to offer financial assistance for our programs and services to those in need.

Please note that the section of Maple Street closest to the Summit YMCA will be closed from approximately 7 AM to 11 AM on Sunday, May 5, for our Mother’s Day 5K. Please use Cedar Street to access the public lot that is next to our building.
