Anjali McCormick

anjali.mccormick@thesay.org

Chief Executive Officer & President

After the birth of my second child, I stopped working full time and soon thereafter moved to Summit from New York City. It was at the Y that I first found community in Summit. In addition to meeting new people and making friends, the Y offered a welcoming environment to help me stay healthy and in shape. Since then, my children have been enrolled in numerous swim and sports clinics, played Youth Soccer and Basketball, enjoyed summer day camp, and celebrated birthday parties at the Y. I'm excited to return to the special place where my YMCA journey began, first as a member and then as a staff member. The Summit Area YMCA is a community treasure. I look forward to working with the Board and dedicated team of professionals to chart a path for even greater relevance, impact, and success.

Tiffany Escott

Executive Director, Summit YMCA

The YMCA’s core values—honesty, caring, respect, responsibility, and equity—resonate with me deeply. After over 20 years with the Summit Area YMCA, I’m motivated by the chance to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Whether it's through providing food to a family in need or watching individuals with special needs dance the night away at our Extra Special Prom, I feel driven by the chance to foster positive growth and connection in our community. My favorite part is seeing the direct results of our programs—how they bring people together, provide new experiences, and create lasting memories.

Tammy Como

Executive Director, Berkeley Heights YMCA

Kelly McHugh

kelly.mchugh@thesay.org

Associate Executive Director

The Y has been a part of my life since I was a child. It was where I learned to swim and then later, where I held my first job as an aftercare counselor. The Y has always been a place where I felt welcomed and accepted, and I look forward to giving everyone that walks through our doors that same experience. I love that I get to meet new people every day and that I am directly responsible for giving them an opportunity to grow. Whether that's through our fitness center, our free programs, or within our childcare and camp programs, it brings me a feeling of accomplishment.

Jennifer Andrade

Seeing the happy faces of our youngest members each day as they learn and grow in a safe, nurturing environment brings me a sense of joy. I’m incredibly grateful to work for an organization that allows me to witness the positive impact it has on families within the community every day.

Chris Cueto

chris.cueto@thesay.org

Aquatics Director

Aquatics has been a passion of mine ever since I was first introduced to it. The Y has allowed me to put that passion into work by providing the tools needed to mold individuals of all ages to reach their full potential in the water. Seeing the progression of an individuals’ swimming from start to finish has always been fascinating to me. I look forward to continuing to make a difference in the community and leave an everlasting legacy on so many people’s lives.

Pat Collins

patrick.collins@thesay.org

Director of Competitive Aquatics

I have always emphasized that swimming is a journey; one must fall in love with the process and we as adults must help the kids to focus on long-term goals and development. It's easy to get caught up in the end result, times dropped and cuts made, but a swimmer is worth more than the time on the scoreboard and I'm blessed to have helped so many young swimmers through the ups and the downs. It is my goal to continue to build on the team’s already strong foundation and to give every swimmer the chance to experience success and achieve his or her highest potential.

Jamie Sobel

jamie.sobel@thesay.org

Assistant Director of Competitive Aquatics

Being a swim team coach at the YMCA is more than just coaching. It combines the personal growth of athletes and the development of life skills all while creating meaningful relationships and making a lasting impact on individuals’ lives. The joy of seeing swimmers progress, achieve their personal goals, and become more confident is incredibly rewarding.

Muadh "Mo" Abdus-Salaam

muadh.abdus-salaam@thesay.org

Sports Director

The Y, in a way, chose me as much as I chose the Y. This position is a perfect fit because I can change lives by doing what I love. Sports have been engulfed in my life for as long as I can remember. I look at sports as a microcosm of life with so many opportunities and lessons and experiences to be had. I look to mold, guide, and teach through sports to impact families and prepare all learners for life.
