Trial Membership Terms & Conditions:
- Your trial membership begins the day you sign up and expires 7 consecutive days later.
- Offer limited to one-time use per person.
- Based on our Guest Pass Policy, participating in a trial membership means you will have exhausted your allotted maximum of 7 total guest visits to Summit Area YMCA locations per year.
- Available for guests 18 years old & older.
- Guests must present a valid photo ID upon check-in and sign our membership participation waiver at www.thesay.org/waiver.
- Guests must adhere to all member and guest participation, safety protocols, program and location specific policies. Facility access may be denied to guests found in violation of the Member's Code of Conduct and/or the Guest Pass Policy.
- Guests are not permitted to participate in open gym or any paid program sessions. These programs are exclusively for registered members and paid participants only. Additional restrictions may apply.
- Trial membership access is limited to the Berkeley Heights YMCA & Summit YMCA only.
- Not redeemable for cash.

FREE 7TH GRADE MEMBERSHIP
Free memberships for 7th graders to promote a lifetime of healthy habits!
7th Grade is a pivotal and transitional time, more than ever we want to help keep our youth active and engaged. Through our commitment to supporting and encouraging youth to make good decisions and form habits that lead to a healthy lifestyle, the Summit Area YMCA is proud to offer free memberships to all 7th grade students in our service area (Berkeley Heights, Gillette, Millburn, New Providence, Short Hills, Springfield, Stirling and Summit). Available at both the Berkeley Heights YMCA and Summit YMCA.
After enrollment, each student must complete a mandatory orientation and fitness demo that focuses on safety and proper technique in order to activate the membership. Once completed, students receive a teen membership to the Summit Area YMCA that is valid through June 30, 2023 and can participate in all the available offerings at both the Berkeley Heights YMCA & Summit YMCA (please note, some programs may be restricted by age).
FREE MILITARY MEMBERSHIP
Free memberships for active military members, spouses and children!
The Summit Area YMCA created the Military Outreach Initiative to address the needs of families of deployed military personnel who live far from a military installation and require access to child development, family strengthening, and health and well-being programming. Active duty and deployed personnel of the Armed Services, their spouses and families (dependent children) are eligible for a free military membership. Free Military memberships are given in 6 month intervals and are renewed by request.

HORIZON BLUE CROSS/BLUE SHIELD
Get one month free when joining the YMCA!
Employees or subscribers to Horizon Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey get their first month free at the YMCA. Must be new to the Summit YMCA. At the conclusion of the month, the membership can be converted to a regular membership. Joining fees applies at time of joining.
