Kid Zone & Babysitting

With so many demands on today’s families and the increased focus on early brain development, families need all the support they can get to nurture the potential of youth. That’s why our Kid Zone focuses on holistically nurturing child development by providing a safe and healthy place to play, make new friends and build self-reliance while parents workout.

A complimentary service to family memberships, we provide up to one hour of supervised care for your child in a safe, enriching environment through non-structured, age appropriate play activities so your little one can develop social skills while you while you participate in activities at the Y, work out or take a class.

Please note: Due to new safety measures and limitations, some of our program offerings have changed (see updated participation policies below). Rest assured, keeping you safe while adapting to continue serving the needs of our community remains our #1 priority.

Reopening Guide

The Kid Zone child watch program is staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the need children have to feel connected and supported in trying new things, and the caring and reinforcement parents and families need to help each other.

The safety of your children is our top priority. Parents, teachers and students with education and training in child development make up our team of dedicated staff. Strict reference and background checks are conducted on all YMCA staff and volunteers. All staff are required to be trained in and certified in infant and adult CPR and First Aid.
