Food packages are available for pickup 2x a month (on the 2nd and 4th Monday).

Starting in June 2020, with schools closed and unemployment on the rise, even more families were faced with food insecurity. The Summit Area YMCA and The Community FoodBank of New Jersey partnered again to extend its food insecurity programs and provide access to healthy food packs for even more local families in need. With the distribution centers hours adjusted and a lower capacity for bagging food, the Summit Area YMCA stepped in to fill the gap. Every week, in addition to the pallets of food sent to the Y, staff and volunteers sorted and bagged shelf stable groceries, fresh produce purchased by the Y and donations from our community garden and local partners.
