Our Toddler program provides a firm foundation for continued growth and learning as they are encouraged to engage in active learning in a supportive, language-rich environment that strengthens linguistic and listening skills, as well as sound discrimination.
Upon enrollment your child is assigned a Primary Caregiver who is responsible for and closely monitors your child’s daily activities, so that we can share their daily progress with you. These Primary Caregivers formulate monthly lesson plans that promote language development, pro-social interaction, and emerging self-help skills. Our Toddler curriculum includes colors, shapes, letters, and numbers through a variety of developmentally age-appropriate activities.
Additionally, our Toddler program embraces a HEPA (Healthy Eating & Physical Activity) philosophy. Our onsite kitchen staff prepare meals that promote healthy eating habits and our Toddler indoor gross motor room is used daily to keep our Toddlers safe, occupied and developmentally active. Weather permitting, Toddlers play on our attached outdoor toddler-specific playground that expands their physical, sensory, experiential and social skills.
Please note that the section of Maple Street closest to the Summit YMCA will be closed from approximately 7 AM to 11 AM on Sunday, May 5, for our Mother’s Day 5K. Please use Cedar Street to access the public lot that is next to our building.
