Our Preschool program teaches and helps children learn many new skills in a safe and nurturing environment. Preschool classrooms are specifically set up encourage building trust, autonomy, and initiative. Our experienced, nurturing teachers are equally focused your child’s social, emotional, cognitive, motor and academic development. We take pride in our Preschool curriculum which introduces children to those specified in the New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards. Our preschool program adheres to the state licensing ratio of 10:1 for children.
Our classrooms include distinct interest areas and provide ample opportunities for children to use manipulatives, table toys, books, dramatic play, music/movement, cooking, art, and science and nature. Teachers create awareness and foster interest by introducing new and stimulating objects, people and experiences.
Special to our Preschool program are the weekly swim, gym, and music enrichment experiences and daily opportunities for gross motor activities in our fenced in outdoor playgrounds. Preschoolers are transported to the Summit YMCA under the supervision of classroom teachers on our private school bus.
