Waddler Program

6 weeks to 18 months

Infants transition into our Waddlers’ program when they are more upright than crawling. Waddlers need their own space to cruise around the perimeter of the room and their activities are more focused around self-help skills. As their sleep schedule shifts to one nap a day, the activity portion of the day is filled by outdoor play time in the Waddler play yard, circle time in which the teachers read books, sing and lead physical activities and active play in the room. Waddlers are able to use push toys, riding toys and climbers as well as do table top activities (puzzles, blocks and art work). By providing Waddlers their own space, we can better accommodate the needs of the Waddlers which is different than those of Infants.

Please note, due to the New Jersey Department of Children and Families Office of Licensing and Department of Health's Covid-related mandates The Learning Circle YMCA's hours of operation, fees and program offerings may be subject to change.
