The Summit Area YMCA has soccer programs for all ages and levels. We teach the basic skills and rules of the sport, while also focusing on the important values of sportsmanship, teamwork and more. Join a clinic to improve your skills, or join a league to get in the game! You can also enjoy a friendly pickup game with other members.
The Summit Area YMCA’s Youth Soccer Association is an outdoor, non-competitive, co-ed youth sports program where children learn soccer fundamentals, make new friends, grow self-confidence and more, in a safe and fun environment. Each player receives guaranteed playing time to promote fair play. In this age group (2-8), coaches place emphasis on structured drills, positive competition, sportsmanship & teamwork. Keep your child active and engaged as they dribble, pass and shoot their way to fun as a member of our youth soccer team!
The Summit Area YMCA builds stronger communities with programs and services that help all individuals learn, grow, and thrive in a welcoming, inclusive environment. The Summit Area YMCA works side-by-side with our neighbors to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income and background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Each year, we serve more than 15,000 individuals with our free and fee-based programs and services, through the generosity of our members, donors, and partners. Families with low or moderate household income or those who are experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to apply. Applicants must live or work in the Summit Area YMCA service area which includes Berkeley Heights, Gillette, Millburn, New Providence, Short Hills, Springfield, Stirling and Summit. Financial assistance can be used for membership, child care, summer camp, enrichment and sports programs where additional fees apply, such as soccer and swimming lessons.
