Small group training is a fun, effective and affordable way to reach your fitness goals. Our nationally recognized certified trainers lead these groups focusing on individual strengths, goals and fitness levels of the participants. Participants are grouped by goals, experience levels and availability. Can't find a time that works for you? Start your own group! Join with your friends or make new ones.
Join us at the Berkeley Heights YMCA for Small Group Training! This is the perfect way to get results, stay accountable with friends and have plenty of fun!

Small group training is a fun, effective and affordable way to reach your fitness goals. Our nationally recognized certified trainers lead these groups focusing on individual strengths, goals and fitness levels of the participants. Participants are grouped by goals, experience levels and availability. While closed group sessions generally last six weeks, we also offer a few drop-in training classes, like intensified Indoor Rowing for only $15. If you don’t find a Small Group that works for you, click here to join a private group or start your own (minimum of 4 required)!
Schedules for Small Group Training drop-in classes at the Summit YMCA are available online through our class schedules.
Since group size is limited, pre-reservations are strongly recommended.Reservations are available - two weeks prior - through the SAY Mobile App or our Online Schedules tab. Payments can be made at the front desk. Please arrive a few minutes early for payment.
We also offer specialized Small Group Training class series throughout the year, like Stretch, Roll & Restore as seen in the video below.
