Small Group Training

 

 

Move beyond the basics by working with a personal trainer/coach and receive personalized attention in a small group format at the Summit YMCA!

Small group training is a fun, effective and affordable way to reach your fitness goals. Our nationally recognized certified trainers lead these groups focusing on individual strengths, goals and fitness levels of the participants. While closed group sessions generally last six weeks, we also offer small group drop-in training classes in our new Training Zone! Class descriptions can be found below. Join with your friends or make new ones. If you don’t see a small group that works for you, click here to join a private group or start your own (minimum of 4 required)! 


CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

  • 3D Strength and Conditioning: Strength training in 3 dimensions using all planes of movement - $15
  • Barre Bounce: Low impact barre movements using a trampoline for cardio intervals - $15
  • Foundations of Strength & Conditioning: Build your foundation in strength and conditioning - $15
  • KettleBell Strength & Conditioning: Refine your use of KettleBells - $15
  • RIP Trainer for Stick Sports: (Lacrosse, Golf, Tennis, Hockey, SUP, Kayaking, etc). Get more explosive in your movement. Strengthening your core muscles unlocks so much more: agility, balance, conditioning and rotational force - $15
  • Teen Strength & Conditioning: For all levels, learn the basics of conditioning exercises in a small group setting - $15
  •  TRX/Barre: A fusion class combining the best of classic barre moves and TRX suspension exercises. Elevate your barre workout by using the TRX suspension strap as your barre - $15
  • TRX/RIP Training: The TRX Rip Trainer™ combines a resistance cord and weighted bar, creating an asymmetric load for explosive core and cardio training - $15
  • TRX/Row: Fusion class utilizing both the suspension trainer and Cardio bouts on the rower - $15

    Sessions are:

    • 50 minutes in length
    • Limited to a maximum of 8 participants (depending on the format)
    • Sessions are designed and led by the YMCA Personal Trainer/Coaches
    • Reservations are available - one week prior - through Mind Body Online 
    • Payments can be made through the front desk and will be transferred to your Mind Body account within 24 hours

    Since group size is limited, pre-reservations are strongly recommended on Mind Body Online. Pre-reservations are available one week prior to class. 

    Class schedules are available on Mind Body Online and in print at the front desk.
