Participation in our Youth Basketball League is open to all community members ages 5-9. Players learn the fundamentals of basketball, make new friends, grow self-confidence and more, in a safe and fun environment. Each player received guaranteed playing time to promote fair play. In this age group, our coaches place emphasis on structured drills, positive competition, sportsmanship & teamwork.
Youth Basketball League runs every year during the late Fall and early Winter, in the Summit YMCA Hubbard Gym.
• Starters - Kindergarten (Co-ed)
• Rookies - 1st Grade (Girls / Boys)
• Winners - 2nd & 3rd Grade (Girls / Boys)
Please note: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Grade divisions are split into girls and boys teams. The Kindergarten division is co-ed. All players must meet the grade/age requirement for their division by October 1.
· The Youth Basketball League runs out of the Hubbard Gym in the Summit YMCA
· Winners (2nd & 3rd Grade) games are scheduled Saturdays
· Starters & Rookies (Kindergarten & 1st Grade) games are scheduled on Sundays

All interested volunteers will be asked to fill out an application. Once your application is received, it will be forwarded to the Branch Volunteer Coordinator at your preferred location who will contact you within 48 hours to discuss your interests and schedule an interview.
To ensure the highest level of safety for our members and children, we are very careful with our employee and volunteer selection. Most volunteer positions will require your completion of new volunteer paperwork and online training, along with reference checks and your approval for a criminal background check.
