The Summit YMCA was founded in 1886 and has expanded and provided essential services to our community over our 131 year history. The 1886 Society honors individuals and organizations that have made leadership investments of $1,000 or more to The Y each fiscal year in support of the Annual Campaign, Endowment, special events, programs, or capital projects. Members of The 1886 Society are essential partners in fulfilling our mission.
Loyal donors have, for 131 years, fortified The Y financially and provided the necessary resources to fulfill our mission every day. Established in 2017, The Three Pillars Society honors individuals and organizations who have made gifts in support of The Y for five consecutive years or more. This Society is named for those loyal donors who advance the YMCA’s three pillars of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through their consistent investment in our great organization.
The Heritage Society honors men and women who have provided a charitable gift for The Y in their estate plans and their wills. Planned gifts and bequests provide vital funds to strengthen and sustain The Y’s future, giving vitality and sustainability to our impact in the community through our financial assistance programs. Examples of planned gifts include naming the Y as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy, a pension or 401(k) plan, an IRA, and naming The Y as a beneficiary within charitable remainder trusts and charitable gift annuities
The Hourly Club honors our dedicated staff members who generously donate an equivalent of one hour’s pay of each pay period to The Y’s Annual Campaign. The Hourly Club allows all staff members – from the CEO to part-time staff – to donate an equal percentage of their paychecks.
