Crush Your First Mini-Triathlon at the Summit YMCA

CRUSH YOUR FIRST MINI-TRIATHLON

Also known as a sprint or short distance triathlon, this is the perfect entrance into the triathlon world and an increasingly popular athletic challenge for all ages and fitness levels. The Summit Area YMCA's Mini-Triathlon consists of a 10-minute lap swim, 30-minute stationary bike ride and 20-minute treadmill run equaling an amazing indoor cross training experience that will strengthen your heart and other muscles without breaking down your body. Plus at the Y, you'll find friendly and social camaraderie among the competition.

Ready to tri? Join us on Sunday, February 26 at the Summit YMCA! First wave starts at 6:00 AM (see below). The mini-triathlon is for every person desiring a challenge to break their everyday routine or to begin their journey into the triathlon world. Open to all (ages 16+), beginners to experts. Non-sanctioned.

 

  

MINI-Tri format:

SWIM: 10-minute lap swim (Indoor pool)
>> 10-minute transition time

BIKE: 30-minute stationary bike ride (Cycling Studio)
>> 5-minute transition time

RUN: 20-minute treadmill run/walk (Fitness Center)

• 7:20-7:30 AM – Swim
• 7:40-8:10 AM – Bike
• 8:15-8:35 AM – Run/walk
