Give kids a fun and meaningful experience by trying various free winter youth programs at the Summit YMCA! We are committed to supporting and encouraging youth to make good decisions and form healthy habits that lead to a healthy lifestyle. These programs provide opportunities for fitness and sports, as well as an opportunity to socialize with peers in a safe, supervised, and conveniently located environment.
Teen Yoga, a beginner course, focuses on mindfulness, relaxation as well as basic yoga poses. It’s a great way for your teen to destress and remember to breathe after a busy day at school. The class is offered on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00PM at the Summit YMCA, 3rd floor. Please bring a mat and water.
Basketball Skills and Drills, an all level class, includes drills, playing games, as well as strength and conditioning exercises to enhance teens’ skills. Help your teen learn the importance of team play, sportsmanship, and more! This class is offered on Thursdays from 3:00-3:45PM at the Summit YMCA Hubbard Gym.
Afterschool Sports gives middle school teens the opportunity to play some of their favorite sports in a non-competitive setting afterschool. Whether it's dodgeball, soccer, hockey, etc. we've got them all! Middle Schoolers will be able to work off their energy in a healthy way and get the exercise they need to stay active and alert at school. This is offered on Fridays from 3:00-3:45PM at the Summit YMCA Hubbard Gym.
