2021 SAY Swim Team Lap-A-Thon

The Summit Area YMCA (SAY), the SAY Swim Team and its coaching staff, extends our heartfelt thanks to all who have supported our swim team and the Summit Area YMCA with their kindness and generosity this past year. In October 2020, the SAY Swim Team held its annual Lap-A-Thon fundraiser and raised over $15,000 for the SAY’s Annual Campaign. This year, the SAY Swim Team’s Lap-A-Thon goal is $25,000!

The week long in-pool fundraiser, allows swimmers raise funds on their own by swimming laps the length of the pool to support the Y as well as the swim team’s end of year banquet, travel and apparel expenses! The 2021 Lap-A-Thon takes place from November 21 to November 27 during designated swim team practice times.

The Summit Area YMCA Swim Team has nearly a century of tradition of swimming excellence and success at the local, state, and national levels. Our swim team, and the Summit Area YMCA, is able to grow and expand its mission through gracious donations, but we can’t do it without you!

Your gift has the power to heal and strengthen the bonds within our swim team, the Aquatics Department, the Summit Area YMCA and our community. The Summit Area YMCA is one of the area’s leading 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. Our organization made a promise to the community in 1886 to keep our programs and services accessible to all. We deepen our impact as we transform lives for the better by nurturing the potential and well-being of our children, promoting healthy living among all, and strengthening a sense of caring and social responsibility across our community.

SUMMIT AREA YMCA

BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA | SUMMIT YMCA | THE LEARNING CIRCLE YMCA

In 1886, we were founded as the Young Men’s Christian Association, but today, we are The Y. An association that values, and is made stronger by, its diverse people. We stand for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility — For a better us. We are committed to creating equal opportunity for all regardless of gender, age, disability, income, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religious affiliation. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive culture in which our four core values — responsibility, honesty, caring and respect — are integral to everyday operations.

Each year, as one of the area’s leading 501(c)3 charitable organizations, the Summit Area YMCA serves more than 15,000 individuals with our free and fee-based programs and services in an area spanning the New Jersey communities of Berkeley Heights, Gillette, Millburn, New Providence, Short Hills, Springfield, Stirling and Summit. Our history is rooted in working side-by-side with our neighbors to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Through the generosity of our members, donors, and partners, we are able to offer financial assistance for our programs and services to those in need.
