Swim Instructors: Indoor and Outdoor Pools
The Swim Instructor provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes. They follow the guidelines of the YMCA Swim Lesson Program and ensure that participants have a positive and safe learning environment.

 

Lifeguards: Indoor and Outdoor Pools

The Lifeguard maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. They create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with Y policies and procedures.

 

Toddler and PreSchool Teachers - Full Time

The Learning Circle YMCA is hiring for 2 Full Time teacher positions in the PreSchool and Toddler Departments.

The Full-Time Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing The Learning Circle's childhood education programs in accordance with the YMCA’s philosophy and policies. The position requires a professional commitment to the programs and to meeting the needs of children and families.

 

Summer Camp: Head Camp Counselor, Jr. Camp Counselors and Camp Counselors
The YMCA Camp Counselor is responsible for providing a diverse and enriching camp program following the guidelines set by the American Camping Association and the YMCA while maintaining a safe and enriching environment for children. They are responsible for implementing the activities set up by the Head Counselor, Coordinator and Director. They must maintain proper camper to counselor ratios at all times.

 

Child Care: Before & Afterschool Staff, Afterschool Staff

The Summit Area YMCA is looking for Before & After-School Staff for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year at The Berkeley Heights YMCA and offsite at local schools. Our Before & After-School Staff provide a fun, well-rounded, and safe environment for children to spend their time before & after-school. The ideal candidates will have an interest and/or background in caring for children while possessing the necessary organizational and leadership skills necessary to implement a safe and fun program.

 

Gym: Floor Supervisor

The Floor Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of the Gymnasium, inclusive of maintaining sports equipment, supervising activities, character development (gym etiquette and sportsmanship), and safety and security of the YMCA facility and members.
