Help Prevent Hunger at the Summit Area YMCA Food Drive

Since it's founding, the Summit Area YMCA has always worked with our neighbors, side-by-side, to meet the need of our communities. Providing programs and facilities to nurture youth, strengthen minds and bodies, and most importantly, instill a sense of social responsibility to uplift and help those in need for a stronger, happier, and healthier community.

This holiday season, the Summit Area YMCA will be collecting canned and other dry good food donations for needy NJ families. All donations will go towards local food pantries. This is an easy, meaningful way to give back and strengthen the foundations of our community locally.

In addition to food drives, the Summit Area YMCA also provides healthy food packs to local families in need. Throughout the summer, volunteers packed and provided healthy food packs to local families in need to help address food insecurity in our community, especially during the pandemic. During the school year, Y volunteers work with local Summit area schools and deliver food packs so that children enrolled in free or reduced-fee lunches may have access to food over the weekends.
