Drop In Holiday Care at the Y

When provided the appropriate tools, role models, and environment, children thrive and have the opportunity to reach their untapped reservoir of potential. At the Summit Area YMCA (SAY), youth programs that focus on development, healthy living, and social responsibility help provide children with the knowledge and experiences to grow up into a well-rounded adult. When school is closed, the Y provides a safe and social space for children to engage their talents and discover new passions, turning idle time into productive output.

The Learning Circle YMCA (TLC YMCA) and Summit YMCA, branches of the SAY now provides Holiday Care for any child in any public school elementary program in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Enrollment in the SAY school-age aftercare program is not required for Holiday Care. Holiday Care refers to the days that your child’s school is closed and the Summit YMCA and TLC YMCA are open for Holiday Care. Parents must sign up in-person at TLC at least two weeks in advance of request for care. Care must be requested for a specific day at least 48 hours in advance and is subject to capacity.

The program provides convenience for parents where they can feel at ease knowing that their child will be cared for in a place they can learn, grow and thrive. For more information, please contact:
