Meditation & Restorative Yoga

 

Release tension and stress by using props, bolsters and blankets to support the body in yoga postures. Expect a relaxing and gentle class suitable for everyone.

teen  Yoga 

 



Learn how to “chill out” with basic yoga poses and relaxation techniques. This beginners yoga class is designed for young adults (ages 13+/in grades 7-12). Free to members. $160 for Non-Members. Registration is required. Yoga mats are provided.

Adaptive  Yoga 


This class is designed for young adults (ages 14-21) with diverse abilities taught by a specially trained yoga instructor, Sandy, from Ashrams for Autism. The class focuses on empowering and guiding participants toward peacefully achieving their highest potential through yoga while relaxing the mind and the body in a quiet, safe and supportive environment. Registration is required (additional paperwork also needs to be completed prior to the first class).

Sound Healing Yoga


Tune out from the world, forget your troubles and decompress with us during "Gentle Yoga and Sound Healing Meditation." These calming sounds will enter your mind and body and transport you to a harmonious state of deep relaxation. This is a one night special class .

The Berkeley Heights YMCA offers a variety of Yoga classes from Hatha Flow Yoga, Iyengar Style Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga with various levels of difficulty and focuses suitable for everyone.
