Based on results from our SEER analytics survey, the Berkeley Heights YMCA will be running a number of classes in response to feedback collected from Summit Area YMCA members.
At the Summit Area YMCA, we strive to provide the best member experience through hospitality, programming and more. Together with SEER Analytics, an independent impact measurement company, the Summit Area YMCA sent out surveys mid-April and received over 150 survey responses from Berkeley Heights YMCA members about their member experience. Based on survey results, members were interested in more class sessions of specific classes, intermediate levels, as well as new kinds of classes.
In response to member requests, the Berkeley Heights YMCA will be running evening sessions for Intermediate Vinyasa Flow, LES MILLS Body Combat, and Tai Chi. Intermediate Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic movement based yoga class. Participants work at the intermediate level in learning breathing techniques to movements in this active class.
Body Combat is a class in the LES MILLS program, a high-energy, non-contact martial arts-inspired workout. Participants learn moves from Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Body Combat is a popular class for all levels of fitness that relieves stress, boosts confidence and can burn up to 740 calories* in a class.
Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese tradition practiced as a graceful form of exercise.
It involves a series of martial-arts inspired movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.
