What better way to say "Welcome to The Summit Area YMCA" than with a few one-on-one personal training sessions?

New members joining the Summit YMCA can receive three 1-hour sessions with a personal trainer for a special rate of $150. That’s $60 in savings! To receive this special rate, members must sign up within 30 days of joining.

There are countless benefits to working with a personal trainer
regardless of fitness level or experience. With a personal trainer you can customize your workout to fit your exercise goals and busy schedule. You can improve your strength, flexibility, endurance, posture and cardiovascular health bringing you closer to achieving your fitness goals! Moreover, a trainer can provide you with expert guidance when using gym equipment ensuring proper technique and preventing injury. A personal trainer can even help you get back on track after an injury or simply overcome a plateau!

If working out in a small group is your preference, consider the Y’s small group training classes. Small group training is a fun, effective and affordable way to reach your fitness goals. Our nationally recognized certified trainers lead these groups focusing on individual strengths, goals and fitness levels of the participants. While closed group sessions generally last six weeks, we also offer small group drop-in training classes! 

  

     

 

  • Barre ReBound: Barre moves using a jump sport trampoline - $15
  • Indoor Rowing, All Levels: Full Body, low impact cardio workout.  Rowing is considered one of the top 5 calorie burning workouts. Can burn up to 500-700 calories in one class - $15
  • Teen Strength & Conditioning: For all levels, learn the basics of conditioning exercises in a small group setting - $15

CLASS SCHEDULES


Since group size is limited, pre-reservations are strongly recommended. Reservations are available - two weeks prior - through the SAY Mobile App or our Online Schedules tab. Payments can be made at the front desk. Please arrive a few minutes early for payment.

The Y also offers one-on-one support on nutrition and healthy eating through our nutrition coaching program at the Berkeley Heights branch.
