FOR PARENT AND CHILD:
ART, MUSIC & STORYTIME! BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA
Parents, Guardians, Grandparents- all are welcome to join us for some playtime! Bring your little one in for some playtime, and a new activity each week- maybe art, maybe music, maybe storytime! Come and join the fun!
WIGGLE, GIGGLE, RHYME, SUMMIT YMCA
In this semi-structured class, the child and their grown up will be making friends and bonding over circle time, music, simple crafts, and free play. This class is a great start to your Y experience with your child.
PEE WEE NINJA WARRIORS. SUMMIT YMCA
Our Pee Wee Warriors Fitness class is our version of American Ninja Warriors! Specifically designed for children ages 2.5 - 4, this program focuses on improving your child’s listening, motor skills, fitness, concentration, and self-confidence through weekly drills and obstacle courses.
INDOOR PLAYGROUND, SUMMIT YMCA
Spend quality time together and connect with other families. The gym is set-up each week with music, balls, hula hoops, trikes and more to facilitate open play. Parents are involved with their children to provide direction and safety. Spots are limited! Preregistration is required.
KIDVENTURES: A GREAT PLACE TO GROW! SUMMIT YMCA
Give your child a chance to socialize, explore, and get ready for preschool! Their day will include a friendship table, story time, weekly themed arts & crafts, music & movement, active gym time, weekly library visit, and free play. Please pack your child a water bottle and a peanut free non-refrigerated snack. Pull-ups are okay, no diapers.
LUNCH BUNCH & MUNCH FUN, SUMMIT YMCA
A combination of active play, lunch, and quiet time, Lunch Bunch & Munch Fun is an opportunity to extend your child’s day. Pack your child a peanut-free, non-refrigerated lunch and they can eat with their friends, socialize, and have fun!

Learn the basics of ballet with princess music, wands & crowns.
ARTISTS TABLE, BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA
Come on in to the world of artists! Every week learn about a famous artist and create a project based on a different art medium. Be prepared to get a little messy!
NINJA WARRIOR WORKOUT, BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA
This class is designed after the show America Ninja Warrior. The kids will learn patience, balancing skills, and problem solving. This will help them achieve their goal of finishing the obstacle course.
DRAMA BUGS, BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA
Your child will play games, read stories, and dance while they learn to harness their amazing imaginations. Using creative drama techniques, your kids will learn to create characters and tell stories while they work both as individuals and cooperatively in this super-fun creative class.
BALLET JUNIORS, BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA
NEW! New ballet class for those ages 7-10 years. You will learn ballet step, positions and more with a real ballerina!
KIDS ZUMBA, BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA
Shake and shimmy to fun and exciting Zumba tunes. Learn salsa and cumbia and play fun and exciting games!
SEWING, BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA
Come and learn the basics of sewing from hand stitching as well as operating a sewing machine. Your child can work on projects such as pillows, stuffed animals and event clothing. Supplies are included.
MASTERPIECE STUDIO, BERKELEY HEIGHTS YMCA
Do you like to paint? To draw? To Sculpt? In Masterpiece studio you will have the chance each week to choose your art medium and work on your own creative projects! Work at your own pace and make your own masterpieces!
BUILDER’S CLUB, SUMMIT YMCA
Get your imagination growing with our brand new Builders Club! Each week will have its own theme and the materials can be anything from K’NEX to Legos to popsicle sticks. You have only your imagination to guide you! Join us each week as we design and build a new adventure.
FOOD EXPLORERS, SUMMIT YMCA
Our Food Explorers class is our version of Chopped! Like to experiment? Dream of being a mad culinary scientist? Through guided experimentation, participants will create new, intriguing food combinations guaranteed to expand their palette. Instructor must be notified of all food allergies prior to the start of the program.
CHESS MASTERS, SUMMIT YMCA
Want to challenge your mind to solve problems and create new strategies? Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of Chess. Expand your skills or learn to play. All skill levels welcome for fun and competitive Chess. Will you become a Grandmaster? Join us.
FUN SIZE DEVELOPMENT “FINISH LINE CHALLENGE”, SUMMIT YMCA
Kids in this 8-week program will be playing different team challenge games each week. This program is designed to help build your children’s life skills including teamwork, patience, discipline, problem solving, most of all that failure is a part of success.
STRUCTURED PLAYDATES FOR CHILDREN WITH DIVERSE ABILITIES. SUMMIT YMCA Join us for sensory fun, collaborative art projects, and active games specifically designed for children with diverse abilities in a safe environment that promotes inclusion. Caregivers are invited and welcome to stay and participate with their child or network with other parents of children with special needs. *Please note this class is designed specifically for students who would benefit from a smaller student to teacher ratio. Max enrollment 8 students. Sign up early to reserve your spot. Spaces are limited.
SUNDAYS IN MOTION, SUMMIT YMCA Children living with autism and their families are welcome to join us on certain Sundays for 2 hours of recreation at the Summit YMCA. This program is run by YMCA volunteers who help monitor and guide the children through an hour of gym time and a second hour in the pool. Siblings are welcome to join!
