Our first stop will be the Nassau County Museum of Art, an extravagant estate purchased by Henry Clay Frick, co-founder of U.S. Steel, for his son, Childs. Visit the sculpture gardens on your own and a private docent led tour of the "True Colors" Exhibit featuring over 100 works from the nineteenth century to this moments hottest talents will follow. The exhibit housed in This three story Georgian-style mansion exemplifies Gold Coast architecture of the late 19th century. A 3 course sit down lunch will be served at The Jolly Fisherman in Roslyn NY. After lunch, travel to Old Westbury Gardens, originally the home of John S. Phipps and his family, the company's second largest shareholder in Carnegie Steel. The mansion and estate have been well-preserved. Enjoy a private docent led historical tour of the home and gardens. Round trip transportation is included.
