With summer just around the corner, it will be hard not to look out the window and dream of warmer days and cool, crystal clear pools that are ready for swimming and splashing. With the Berkeley Heights Community Pool at the YMCA early bird registration currently open, signing up sooner will save money and give you something to look forward to once the summer sun hits! Since 1964, the Berkeley Heights Community Pool has not only provided an oasis for summer swimmers to enjoy the pool, but have also fostered a sense of community and promoted the importance of family and friendship amongst neighbors.
The Berkeley Heights Community pool facilities include a fenced in kiddie pool, a main pool that ranges from 2 to 11 feet deep, two diving boards, a slide, and lap lanes for swimming throughout the day. The facility also offers basketball and tennis courts, volleyball and vast grounds with plenty of loungers and Adirondack chairs. The Berkeley Heights Community Pool at the YMCA team is also excited to announce that birthday parties, special events and pool rentals will be available this season, as well as community events such as movie nights and grade level socials.
A new swim instruction program will also provide private swim lessons for children and adults, taught by certified water safety instructors that follow the standards of the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program. Tryout based competitive Swim Team and non-competitive pre-team for those looking to transition to the competitive program. Additional programs will also include yoga as well as more options for aqua fitness classes.
Early bird savings will end on February 28, 2018, and all rates from the previous season will be the same for residents and non-residents. Members do not have to pay joining fees, only cost of the memberships.
