Summit, NJ, November 2017 – As a strong believer in youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Summit Area YMCA strives to provide the best programs for children and adults alike. A branch of the Summit Area YMCA specializing in childcare and educational programs, The Learning Circle YMCA (TLC YMCA), provides early education and care for children as young as 6 weeks through all day kindergarten where children can master foundational skills, learn healthy habits, build self-reliance, and achieve academic milestones.
The All Day Kindergarten program is held in the Kindergarten House specially designed for students of this age. Our program is dedicated to successfully preparing your child for a smooth transition to the first grade while emphasizing the Y values of caring, respect, honesty, and responsibility. In addition to having NJ State certified teachers, we also have a full time Nurse on staff to ensure the well-being and safety of our kids.
Kindergarteners enjoy outstanding curriculum, aligned Common Core State Standards in the areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics, in our spacious classrooms featuring discovery-oriented science and math programs, language and literature program (including sign language and Spanish), weekly swim and gym classes at the Summit YMCA, access to computers and iPads, community service opportunities, gross motor activities, first grade preparation and more. Children are also provided freshly prepared healthy lunches and snacks each day. For working parents, we also offer extended care options that fill the child’s day with fun, stimulating enrichment activities.
We offer a 184-day Kindergarten program with over 10 days of additional care to (available even when the public school is closed) at no extra cost to you. We serve your child two snacks and a healthy lunch every day, the cost of which is included in your tuition.
The Learning Circle YMCA also offers the following enrichment activities listed below at no additional cost to parents:

• CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child’s Health)
