[BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ] (October 14)— At the Summit Area YMCA we are always striving to provide our local community with the resources and support to make healthy lifestyle choices. Healthy living doesn't just stop at physical fitness, but extends to nutrition education, mental and emotional health, keeping socially connected, and so much more. Keeping with that mission, we hosted a free community wellness event at our Berkeley Heights location featuring over 20 local health conscious organizations. The day’s events included many healthy-inspired activities such as nutrition consultations, acupuncture sessions, free flu shots, yoga and meditation, fun games for children, raffles, live music and prizes and more!
We couldn’t have done it without our participating vendors. A big “Thank You” goes out to: Mediation with Rachel Doremus, Shop Rite, Walgreens, Juice Plus - Gina Roof, Luce’s Gluten-Free Artisan Bread, Elements Massage, Acupuncture with Amanda Occhipinti, Overlook Medical Center, Atlantic Rehabilitation, Summit Medical Group, DeFabio Chiropractic, Autumn Lakes Healthcare, Ayurvedic Cooking and Lantern Hill Retirement Community.
