At the Summit Area YMCA, we believe communities are strongest when every individual has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive in a welcoming and inclusive environment. The Y supports all in making sure everyone feels valued and is provided the support they need to reach their potential. We welcome and engage people from all diverse groups of the community to help create an impact with lasting, meaningful change.
In this spirit, the Summit Area YMCA would like to invite all in the community to celebrate the traditional Indian/ethnic festival, Holi, or the Festival of Colors, on the Summit Village Green on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017. The joyous event will take place from 11am-3pm, where participants can purchase colors on the day-of to throw and celebrate the victory of good over bad, the arrival of spring, the joy of friendship, and equality for all. Join us for a festive day to meet new friends, play and laugh, forget and forgive.
The exuberant color fest will also feature a DJ playing Bollywood music hits, a Masala Bhangra dance class, great Indian cuisine provided by Bombay Bistro, and the throwing of non-toxic organic colors!
A free event for all with free parking available in the Broad Street Garage. Colors and food are available for purchase on the day of the event. White attire is recommended!
