Clinical Director of SportsCare Physical Therapy, Jennifer Andrews, will be leading an informative lecture at the Berkeley Heights Multi-Purpose Room. We will delve into a range of crucial topics around joint preservation, from arthritis to basic stretches, strengthening for bone health, diet, and much more.
Here's what you can expect:
• A comprehensive overview of arthritis - we'll discuss what it is, who it affects, and its common symptoms.
• The significance of strengthening, mobility, and stability for maintaining overall joint health and preventing age-related issues.
• Tips and techniques to protect your joints during workout routines.
• The role of a balanced diet in promoting joint health.
• Guided demonstrations of basic stretches and exercises beneficial for maintaining mobility and bone health.
• A brief introduction to proprioception - what it is, how it aids in joint stability, and its role in preventing falls.
We'll wrap up the lecture with a Q+A session, where Jennifer will answer all your burning questions about joint health, strengthening, and prevention strategies. After the discussion, we are offering free balance assessment screenings for anyone interested. Participants will receive balance or strength testing, along with personalized recommendations to improve their joint health and overall fitness.
