The Beyond the Bell After School Care at the YMCA Program is an enrichment childcare program for students of working parents. At the end of the school day students are provided bus transportation from the following local schools to the Berkeley Heights YMCA upon school dismissal time to 6:00 PM for an afternoon of activities including homework time, structured recreation (STEM, arts & crafts, games), outdoor play (if provided) and snacks. Extended care is available through 6:30 PM.

After school programs at the Y are available on scheduled full and half days. On school holidays and vacation days, the Y also provides full-day holiday care for those enrolled in the Holiday Care option.
An active Summit Area YMCA Membership is required to register for any childcare or summer camp programs. If you do not have a family membership, a Youth Membership (Ages 12 & Under) may be purchased for each child billed annually at $110 per year/per child. If you had a membership previously and are having trouble reactivating it, please complete the Membership Change Request form.

Drop in rate is $20/day for extended care from 6:00-6:30 PM. Late pick up fee is $5/minute after 6:30 PM. Drop in rate is $40/day from 3:00-6:00 PM. Drop in rate is $65/day for half days from 12:30-6:00 PM. Drop in rate is $105/day for holiday care from 7:00 AM-6:00 PM. Drop in rates for non after school care participants is $125/day.
