Teen Trek is back by popular demand and is bigger and better than ever! This trip and travel camp offers daily adventures through New York, Pennsylvania, and of course the great state of New Jersey. Teen Trek is designed to foster a sense of adventure, to increase cultural awareness, to break out of everyday comfort zones, and to have fun. Some points of interest this summer are: Six Flags, Dorney Park, Sandy Hook, FunPlex, Mountain Creek Water Park, MLB Baseball Game (Mets or Yankees), Surfing Lessons, Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Spruce Run Recreational Area, Miniature Golf, Museum of Natural History, Bronx Zoo, Brooklyn Aquarium, Laser Tag, Medieval Times, and much more! The Leaders In Training (LIT) Program is a special opportunity for entering 9th graders to learn important skills required to work with children in an accredited YMCA camp setting.  Participants meet for a week long session and are mentored by camp counselors.  LIT’s assist in leading activities for campers and are always supervised by staff with time set aside to practice their leadership skills.  LIT training addresses concerns and situations that LIT’s may encounter in camp life, including discipline and group control,  safety and awareness, being a role model, and creative planning. Evaluations occur at the end of each session.  Further participation in the program and a future counselor position is based upon the evaluations.

A newly designed Counselor in Training (CIT) Program. Take part in this exciting and completely redesigned, summer leadership program for teens. This is a great opportunity to gain self-confidence, improve your leadership skills, learn how to work with children of all ages, and have fun at the same time! CITs will receive weekly leadership/staff training and evaluations.  

CITs who participate in our 8 week Full Session program are eligible for employment for the following summer based on completion and passing the requirements of the course.  CITs in our 8 week session will go on weekly trips with the campers and will participate in 1 overnight team building field trip.
