Adult Sports

 

GOLF (AGES 5 TO 12 YEARS)

  • GOLF CLASS (AGES 5 TO 12 YEARS)
    Come have fun with TGA Premier Junior Golf! TGA's 5 level Enrichment Program focuses on instilling a passion for golf, developing skills, having fun and building confidence. Every class includes golf instruction, physical activity, a rules and etiquette lesson, an academic lesson and a character development theme such as sportsmanship, honesty, cooperation and respect. No experience necessary, we supply the equipment and each participant gets a workbook and hat!

Gym for Homeschooled Children (AGES 6 TO 12)

  • GYM FOR HOMESCHOOLED CHILDREN (AGES 6 TO 12 YEARS)

    This class is designed to promote both physical and social behavior. Each class will focus on team sports such as soccer, basketball, kick ball, baseball, and much more! Children will have fun while learning about sportsmanship, teamwork and the core values of the YMCA.

    Classes are 1 hour long.

  • OPEN GYM | BASKETBALL | VOLLEYBALL | SOCER

    Anyone is able to use the gym at this time. Please remember to be respectful of other people using the gym at the same time. Balls are not provided, please bring your own. Basketball/ Soccer/ Volleyball gym sessions are for members, 18+. Members must check in at the front desk to receive a wristband for the day. Rules are posted in the gym.

  • FAMILY GYM

    Family Gym is for children 12 years and under and must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Can be used during any open gym time.

  • KIDS GYM
    Kids Gym is for children 6 and under and must be accompanied and supervised by a parent for the purpose of family play time together.

PEE WEE SPORTS (ages 4 to 6 years)

PEE WEE BASKETBALL | SOCCER | T-BALL

Each class will incorporate instruction and fundamental skill development with an emphasis on structured drills, fun lead up games, and sportsmanship. Games may include competitions, relays, and other activities. Character development is promoted using the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Classes are 45 minutes long.

  • BASKETBALL PEE WEE (AGES 4 TO 6 YEARS)

    Each class will incorporate instruction and fundamental skill development with an emphasis on structured drills, fun lead up games, and sportsmanship. Games may include competitions, relays, and other activities. Your child will develop skills in dribbling, shooting, passing, and throwing.

    Classes are 45 minutes long.

  • SOCCER PEE WEE (AGES 4 TO 6 YEARS)

    Each class will incorporate instruction and fundamental skill development with an emphasis on structured drills, fun lead up games, and sportsmanship. Games may include competitions, relays, and other activities. Your child will develop skills in dribbling, shooting, kicking, and passing.

    Classes are 45 minutes long.

  • T-BALL (AGES 4 TO 6 YEARS)

    Each class will incorporate instruction and fundamental skill development with an emphasis on structured drills, fun lead up games, and sportsmanship. Games may include competitions, relays, and other activities. Your child will develop skills in throwing, batting, and running bases.

    Classes are 45 minutes long.

Rock wall Classes (ages 5 years & up)

  • LITTLE CLIMBERS CLIMBING CLASS (AGES 5 TO 6 YEARS)

    This program is for beginning climbers ages 5 & 6 interested in learning how to climb. This activity is designed to introduce participants to traversing the wall in a nonthreatening manner. Climbers will boulder across the wall from point to point while playing games, increasing flexibility, and challenging their abilities.

    Classes are 50 minutes long.

  • TECHNIQUE CLASS (AGES 7 YEARS & UP)

    Learn and perfect many climbing techniques such as the ‘dyno’ and bridging! This class is an excellent way to build upper body strength while learning many new ways to quickly reach the top of all kinds of rock walls.

    Classes are 50 minutes long.

  • CLIMB ON (AGES 7 YEARS & UP)

    Each class is for climbers ages 7 and up who are interested in learning how to climb. A great full body workout!

    Classes are 50 minutes long.

Sports Clinics (ages 5 to 14 years)

Basketball | Soccer | Tennis

Our Y Sports clinics are very high in skill development while applying learned skills in game play. Sessions are assigned by age, rather than level.

  • YOUTH BASKETBALL CLINIC (AGES 6 TO 12 YEARS)

    Our Youth Basketball Clinic is designed to develop fundamental basketball skills while learning teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Children will be divided into small groups based on skill set to ensure a great learning environment with small instructor to child ratios. Lesson plans will include offensive strategies, defensive strategies, rebounding and team play.

    Classes are 1 hour long.

  • YOUTH SOCCER CLINIC

    The soccer clinic is designed to develop fundamental soccer skills while learning teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Children will learn basic fundamentals, strategies and rules of the game and much more! Players will also be introduced to small sided soccer games to help develop in-game confidence.

    Classes are 1 hour long. 

  • INDOOR TENNIS CLINIC

    Certified PTR instructor will teach basic fundamentals of tennis using the USTA 10 and under quick start play format. Lessons will include the utilization of modified equipment and court size and creative methods of individual training for an optimum-learning environment.

    Classes are 45 to 60 minutes long.

  • SPRING YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION (CO-ED)

    The soccer season is upon us! Soccer teams are now online. Coaches will receive final team lists at training this week. Uniforms will be available for sale starting Tuesday, April 8 during regular business hours. All participants can find their team by choosing the division and then looking for their ID code.

    The ID code consists of the first 2 letters of your child's last name and the last 4 digits of your home or cell phone number. Example:

    John Smith at 1-555-555-5555 ID Sm5555

    If you cannot find your child's code, please contact Scott Nordland, Sports Director at 908 273 3330 x1161.


    Participants learn the fundamentals of soccer in a safe and fun environment. Every child gets playing time in a non-competitive league format. At the end of the season, every child will receive a medal for their efforts!
