Almost Artist (ages 1 to 2 - with adult)

Toddlers learn best by doing.  Practice with a variety of art mediums in different shapes, textures, and colors will not only strengthen artistic skills but will provide a wide range of opportunity for expressing creativity.

Enjoy singing songs, playing games, circle time activities and stories in this fun parent and child class.

Animal Adventure (ages 3 to 6)

Is your child interested in animals? Does your child like to learn? This animal friendly educational class is sure to be a hoot. Each week children will learn about a different animal, their habitats, characteristics, eating habits, and more! During each class a brief video will be shown to bring that animal to life. Following the educational component, children will create a craft based on that week’s animal.

Friday Fun Factory (ages 3 to 6 )

Kids will expend their energy and learn basic skills while playing soccer, kickball and other kid friendly games. Each week kids will have a different activity. Kids will cook up some delicious treats, and explore their artistic side, using their imagination while creating crafts.

Chess (ages 6 to 12 )

This class is for all levels of chess players. Beginners will learn basic strategies and moves, and advanced players will be challenged by their peers and instructors. This is a great class for the chess lover in all of us.

Stitches (ages 8 to 14 )

Come and learn the basics of knitting, sewing or crocheting.  Each class will teach a different skill.  All supplies included.

Counted Cross Stitching (ages 7 to 14)

Colonial American girls were taught to sew sampler, embroidery patterns. A sampler was a young girl’s workbook, a place to practice, improve and save samples of her sewing skills. The design of a schoolgirl’s sampler usually included the alphabet, numerals and a picture or a verse. In this class we will create a colonial sampler. Students will learn the basic cross-stitch and how to prepare fabric for sewing and framing.

Young Bob Ross (ages 5 to 10)

This class will focus on the great works of Bob Ross. Children will learn a brief history before attempting to recreate one of Picasso’s masterpieces. Technique and painting strategies will be woven in to provide a well-rounded painting experience.

Advanced Painting (ages 6 to 12 )

In this more specialized class, children with an appreciation for art will focus on their interests and abilities through painting. Each week will focus on a new skill and mediums that will be incorporated in different themes, including, landscapes, portraits, household objects, fantasy, and more!

Young Artists (ages 3 to 6 )

Your child will enjoy making some great projects in this art class.  Your child will experience painting, jewelry making, and more.  Supplies included in fee.

Young Chefs (ages 3 to 12 )

Inspired by our friends at the Food Network, participants will have fun making decorative cupcakes, muffins of all types, fruit bouquets, and the tastiest treats imaginable. This is a hands-on class that’s an absolute blast.  Children with food allergies must notify the instructor. Supplies are included in fee.

Zumbatomic (ages 4 to 6)

Zumbatomic is a fun and creative Dance Fitness class for younger children. Zumbatomic promotes healthy exercise through fun and stimulating music that children can relate too.  Help your child develop a healthy lifestyle today! Fee: Y members: $45; Non-members: $60

Ballet & Tap Dancing (ages 3 to 6 years)

A perfect way to introduce your child to the world of dance and creative expression. This class combines ballet & tap while enhancing balance, posture, and grace. Ballet & Tap Shoes not required but recommended.

Lego Adventures (ages 3 to 10)

Students will build Lego kits as well as have the opportunity for structured free building. During this hands on class students can improve fine motor skills and creative thinking. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to join the last 15 minutes of class for Show and tell great for building presentation and expression skills.

VolunTeens Summer Program

For Teens (ages 14 to 16. Help make a difference in your community this July by volunteering your time at local non-profit organizations. Launched in the Summer of 2012, the Summer VolunTeens Program gives high school students exposure to valuable and rewarding work experiences while fulfilling community service requirements. For girls in Grades 3 to 5. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident, using a fun, experience-based curriculum, which creatively integrates running. The program runs 10 weeks. Participants meet two times a week for one 1 hour and 15 minutes.

High School Small Group Training

Get the motivation you need during the off season to stay in great shape. Work on conditioning, strength, agility and speed before you show up for team practice. Led by Mike Czech, a sports conditioning specialist, certified personal trainer and running coach. Classes will be limited to 6 participants.

We want to support and encourage kids to make good decisions and form healthy habits that lead to a healthy lifestyle. The 7th Grade Initiative program provides opportunities for fitness and sports, as well as an opportunity to socialize with peers in a safe, supervised and conveniently located environment. This special free membership available only to 7th graders demonstrates our commitment and philosophy for a well-rounded approach to the healthy development of the whole person.

4. Complete a few quick forms and begin your membership right away!

We demonstrate to each Seventh Grader how to use gym equipment. Demonstrations are approximately one hour long and must be scheduled in advance. Demos focus on safety and proper technique. Once all demos are completed, 7th graders will have a full access membership to the  Y. There is a limit of three students per demonstration time slot. Only one demo per day per 7th grader.
